Last weekend we drove down to southwestern MN to sing at the Heritage Harvest Festival. It was our first time there. The farm was in the middle of cornfields…not something we see too much of in the northern part of the state.
Jonathan made a friend!
It was a good afternoon, singing and visiting with people. We were encouraged by meeting a brother who really loves the Lord and exhorted us kids to walk with Jesus.
we’ve never loaded our van so close to a cornfield before!
As the harvest is coming in, it’s a reminder of the words that Jesus spoke concerning salvation of the lost:
“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38
As the “fall” schedule rolls in, outside it has still been looking like summer for the most part. And we haven’t posted on the blog for a while because life hasn’t slowed down! Our late summer has been busy. Little things, and not-so-little-things…we’re enjoying it. Here’s a peek at some of the things late summer brings for us.
A few senior pictures, more for the fun of experimenting with a new camera…
Mom’s birthday (in August)
Kids club on Monday nights at our church…
Sara teaching the Bible lesson
Mom baking the snack
A few singing opportunities…
And yes, the garden!
We were blessed with a lot of green beans…
…and there are many more peppers waiting to be picked!
We enjoy the weekly homeschool just-for-fun-baseball evening.
playing in the fog afterward
And just today, we had some special visitors!
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. -I Chronicles 16:34
