Wow, it’s hard to believe the Lake Itasca festival is already come and gone this year!
Our festival weekend started on Thursday as we headed out to the festival grounds to do some prep work. (Sorry, we didn’t really get pictures.) We had fun working with friends to scrub the kitchen, clean bathrooms, set up the CD tables area, all sorts of things in the Snack Shack, and folding programs! Lots of them.
Friday, we had lunch with our grandparents who came out from SD for the festival. It was so special to see them again. Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa, that meal was really good!
Then, it was off to the festival!
The Lord really blessed us with perfect weather, so we never had to move the main stage performances to an inside stage.

Alzen Family
It was so good to hear the Berge family again!
We always look forward to seeing friends here, too.
Daniel and Jonathan had some fun one morning.
We each got to participate in leading workshops.
Mom and Dad worked hard again in the Snack Shack and cleaning bathrooms, respectively. I’m sad to say that we didn’t get pictures of them in action! But here’s a few smiling faces…
And the Wissmann family’s children’s hour was wonderful again, as well. (Be sure to check their blog for more festival photos!)
We praise God for giving us a wonderful weekend full of encouraging music and great fellowship! Mark your calendars for next year, the first full weekend in August!
“I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.” Psalm 9:1-2
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pictures! It’s so much fun to see all these photos since I missed half of the festival. Your new camera works really nice. Send me a copy of the one with Amy Vest! 🙂 Hope to see y’all again soon!
