Debate Follow-up

P1050404 How many of you got to watch the debate between Ken Ham and Bill Nye? If you did, maybe you left with a few questions that you want answers for. Answers in Genesis has put together a wonderful amount of resources that will help answer some of the things Ken Ham wasn’t able to address during the debate. Go to debatelive.org to find links to articles and videos that will help you. Also be sure to watch the post-debate discussion between Ken Ham and Dr. Georgia Purdom.

The Mally family has also put together a short video about how God’s Word can be trusted–it hasn’t changed over thousands of years. Be sure to watch it!

People are so full of questions about life. As Ken Ham told Bill Nye, “There is a book…” The Bible has the answers! Take the time to search them out.

Creation vs. Evolution Debate

promo-postcardWe just wanted to let everyone know about the Creation/Evolution debate that is taking place this evening between Bill Nye the Science Guy and Ken Ham of Answers in Genesis (The Creation Museum).  We are very excited about this debate because the the Creation/Evolution issue is so important… if we don’t believe that the creation account in Genesis 1 is true, then how can we trust the rest of God’s Word?  Evolution is used to explain away God and His authority, and ultimately comes to the conclusion that we are simply an accident of random chance and there is no purpose or meaning to life.  My family has been very encouraged by the ministry of Ken Ham and Answers in Genesis (and have enjoyed 2 visits to the Creation Museum in Kentucky).  So if you can, we would encourage you to watch the live stream tonight (7:00pm EST) for free.  Go to DebateLive.org for more information.

Thanksgiving

Another year of blessings, and another day to stop and count them! It’s hard to believe Thanksgiving has come and gone this year already. It was such an enjoyable celebration…we had some friends over for lots of food and fellowship. Spending our day with them was a blessing in itself. We each shared three things we are thankful for, many of which related to God’s love, grace and mercy. It was good to take some time and think about the different ways our Heavenly Father has blessed us.

Our day was filled with lots of preparation, lots of food, and lots of fun and laughter.  Here’s a few snapshots!

We enjoyed a time of singing together, while the younger ones had fun playing outside in the dark and snow.
