Late Summer Life

As the “fall” schedule rolls in, outside it has still been looking like summer for the most part. And we haven’t posted on the blog for a while because life hasn’t slowed down! Our late summer has been busy. Little things, and not-so-little-things…we’re enjoying it. Here’s a peek at some of the things late summer brings for us.

Camp Cleanup Day

Our church on the reservation, Redby Community Church, has a Bible camp ministry each summer to the kids that come to Kid’s Club on Monday nights during the school year.  This morning, the believers from the church got together to clean up the camp.  In spite of the steady rain most of the morning, it was a lot of fun to work together and get the job done before enjoying fellowship over the potluck meal.  Here’s some pictures from our day:

First Day of Spring in Northern Minnesota

March 20, 2013 (first day of Spring): It is 3 degrees F with a windchill of -16, we have around three feet of snow on the ground, and lots of mountainous snowplow piles.  Yep, spring has come to northern Minnesota! 🙂
