In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
This verse says it all. God created.
Thanks to some very special people in our lives (you know who you are :)), our family was thrilled to have the opportunity to go to the Creation Museum in Kentucky! We were there for two days (for a total of approximately nine hours).
Reflecting…
The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:8-9
So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. …Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. Genesis 1:27, 31
We loved the dinosaurs…lots of dinosaurs!
It was a privilege to meet Noah after hearing so much about him!
The Noah quiz inside the ark was fun…yes, even for the older ones. 🙂
Somewhere in between everything we made time to go to the special effects theater, the planetarium, and a Buddy Davis concert!
It was rather cold and rainy and windy–but Sara and Jonathan braved the elements to go to the petting zoo in our semi-final moments at the museum. They had planned to come back inside in time to join the rest of us before the museum closed, but the doors locked and they were stuck outside…until a friendly museum-leaver held the door open for them.
For those of you who haven’t seen a camel up close…
You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created. Revelation 4:11
We are so grateful that we were able to go, not just because it was so fun, but because it was so exciting to see things that support the Biblical account of creation. What a joy to spend hours at a museum that is there to bring God glory and is very educational, high-quality, and biblically based!
I bought a t-shirt that says, “God created and I believe.”
Do you?
My family and I went to the Creation Museum last summer and it was such a blessing! So refreshing to see God’s Word proclaimed as Truth. 🙂 It was a very special time for all of us. Glad your family was able to enjoy it as well!
Blessings,
Annie
