When it’s not looking like a white Christmas…

So this is Minnesota. We have always had a white Christmas for as long as we’ve lived here. One year it was a close call, but the snow did come. This year…we actually have arrived at hoping for a white Christmas! What do you do when snow has come but now is mostly gone…and it’s two days before Christmas?

You go to the nearest lake and enjoy the ice skating that doesn’t get to happen there after it snows!

You don’t let a bit of slush or standing water on the ice from warm temperatures deter you. You turn on the Christmas music and the skating begins! You go here, there, but not everywhere, and if you fall, you get wet. You marvel at how far you can hear the music on the lake. And you skate to one final festive song before heading home.

But mostly…you remember that Christmas is not about having snow. We do love a white Christmas, but thankfully, it’s still Christmas whether we have snow or not. Because Christmas is about Jesus Christ.

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. ” Luke 2:10-14 KJV

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Greetings!

Christmas Greetings from the Frasers.  So grateful for our Savior’s coming!  Glory to God in the highest!

And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. “And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”  Luke 2:7-14 NKJV

Merry Christmas!

Here in Minnesota we love having snow for Christmas! But even if we didn’t have snow, there would still be Christmas. And even if there were no beautiful lights, there would still be Christmas.

But there wouldn’t be Christmas without Christ.

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:

“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Luke 2:10-14 (NKJV)

Merry Christmas!
